 Update/edit -  09/25: Finally the stats...

Turning away from the Impeachment Inquiry which is holding everyone's attention as the minutes tick by, a quick look at the local drug war stats for the month of September.   What we have noticed this month is that there were periods of inactivity as far as the killings have gone.  Then suddenly multiple homicides, then a pause, then more multiple homicides.  Earlier this month  there was a rash of dismembered bodies which has subsided, but still there are bodies.

 - On 09/16 @ 10:16 am, Zeta reported at that point since the beginning of the month, Tijuana  registered 95 executions, which brought the YTD total in TIJ to 1,629 people killed.  This particular grouping included two burned bodies:

 - On 09/25 @ 11:21 am, Zeta reported eight more dead, bringing the monthly total in Tijuana up to 155 dead. An official YTD figure for TIJ was not given, but given the figures from the Uriel Saucedo report, Tijuana looks to be standing at a YTD total of 1,689 people killed.

~ From Zeta:

Caravana de Africanos Podria Salir de Chiapas Hacia Baja California
Por, Manuel Ayala

"African caravan could leave Chiapas towards Baja California

 A group of African migrants who are detained at the Siglo XXI immigration station in Tapachula, Chiapas, could leave there in the next few days and head towards Baja California, with the intention of being able to cross into the United States.

This was announced this morning Manuel Marín Salazar, head of the National Institute of Migration (INM) in the State, after the security meeting held daily by state and federal authorities in the facilities of the Federal Police.

The official shared that there is information that this African delegation is organizing so that in case they are not given an exit pass in that southern station of migration, they will go by caravan to this state, either to Tijuana or Mexicali.

He explained that currently the Federal Government is not delivering the so-called safe passages so that migrants can travel for 20 days through the Mexican territory, as previously; This determination was taken as a containment measure so that foreigners do not arrive precisely at the northern border, a situation in which Africans have been protesting for a few weeks.

He said that at the moment these people are “contained” on the southern border, but it may be that at some point they leave for this region.

Jaime Bonilla Valdez, elected governor of the state, shared that this situation worries him because they are still working with the shelters, however, he emphasized that the issue will be followed up so that in case migrants arrive, they will see how they are will receive and attend, in addition to give their respective documentation."

There is no mention of how many of the African Migrantes we should expect to see, or when they may arrive or of their plight in OaxaCA...dEMOCRACY nOW COVERS THAT ASPECT:

Mexico Pushes Back against Trumps Asylum Ban As Groups Warn Of Crisis - 09/13:

Excerpt:

 "This comes as tens of thousands of asylum seekers are stuck in border cities on the Mexican side, waiting to be processed for initial asylum proceedings in the United States. At the Tijuana-San Diego border alone, there are more than 10,000 migrants on the waiting list to turn themselves in to U.S. immigration officials. The binational legal aid group Al Otro Lado tweeted, “We r the only OTG org here providing legal aid. This is a death sentence for most our clients. Our hearts are broken + we’re exhausted.”

Ten days later we have this report, with no mention of the hopelessness of the situation:

 Mas de 10Mil Migrantes Han Sido Retornadosna BC Para Esperar Protocolo de Asilo
Por, Manuel Ayala - 09/23

"More than 10 thousand migrants have been returned to BC to await asylum protocol

Manuel Marín Salazar, in charge of the delegation of the National Institute of Migration (INM) in Baja California, shared this morning that since January to date more than 10,000 migrants have been returned to the state, to wait here for their asylum processes requested to States United, as part of the bilateral agreements and the Migrant Protection Protocol (PPE).

During his participation with Grupo 21 Tijuana, the federal official explained that 74 percent of migrants have entered through this border and 36% through Mexicali; An average of 150 returned daily, most of these are families with young children, all of Central American origin.
He stressed that this amount does not mean that everyone is or is still in the state, since some have chosen to return to their countries of origin or have gone to other states.

Marín Salazar added that of these people, a total of two thousand 317 have requested and received their work certificates, to be able to work in the country while they are waiting for their next appointments with the immigration court of the neighboring country.

Regarding the asylum processes, he said that there are about 25 people who know they are already in their second, third or fourth appointment for the approval of the applications, however, they do not keep an accounting of how many are those who already have it accomplished.
On the issue of deported Mexicans, the official said that there are approximately 150 people who receive daily, 60% for Tijuana and 40% for Mexicali.

By the way, he stressed that to date they have reduced up to 50% in the number of expatriates, "so they have nothing to do with the famous raids that have been mentioned," he said.

Finally, he said that although the INM is part of the security and development coordination of the new migrant shelter, it still does not know where the federal shelter will be besieged, nor when it will start operations."

U.S. Denies Protected Status to Bahamians as 2,500 Listed as Missing

"In the Bahamas, authorities have published a list of 2,500 people who went missing after Hurricane Dorian ravaged the island nation in early September as a Category 5 storm. The official death toll stands at 50, but Prime Minister Hubert Minnis warned Wednesday the number is likely to soar. Compounding the Bahamas’ misery is a massive oil spill that’s begun to spread into the ocean off the southern coast of Grand Bahama island after Hurricane Dorian blew the lids off six giant crude oil tanks.

This comes as multiple news outlets reported the Trump administration has decided not to grant temporary protected status to Bahamians, which would allow them to work and live in the U.S. until it’s safe for them to return home. In response, the National Immigration Law Center tweeted, “For the Trump admin to deny TPS to those seeking shelter is yet another example of their sheer cruelty.”

On Wednesday, the Miami Herald reported a 12-year-old Bahamian girl whose home was destroyed by the hurricane was separated from her family by U.S. authorities after arriving in South Florida. The girl, Kaytora Paul, had arrived with her godmother at an airport in West Palm Beach and was taken into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services and moved to a facility for unaccompanied immigrant children in Miami-Dade County."

Too bad they can't impeach him for that one alone.

The Trump-Russia Affair - UPDATE 11/01: Adding the September 2017 CCSP TIJ Crime Report For "Anonymous" - Paris in Hospital - Update 11/02: NewsFlash ! Picture of Paris !

From the Real News:

'James S. Henry is an investigative economist and lawyer, a Global Justice Fellow at Yale University, and a Senior Advisor at the Tax Justice Network. Previously, James served as Chief Economist at the international consultancy firm McKinsey & Co. As an investigative journalist his work has appeared in numerous publications like Forbes, The Nation and The New York Times.'

 "What I would say about the overall story here is that this is, as Churchill said, this is not the end or even the beginning of the end, but it is an indication that we are going to have to, all of us who are specialists in this investigation have to discount a little bit about our natural interest in all these details because I'm concerned at the end of the day, the American people have to get onboard and figure out that all of this stuff in these indictments constitutes something that they want the president removed for. An impeachable offense requires a new Congress, probably, and a whole lot more democratic senators, and that's not going to happen for a while. So, Mueller's strategy is just beginning and this is going to roll out over a long period of time, so it's kind of premature to characterize this as the fatal blow that will be struck against Trump, but I think it's a good start."

Meanwhile, Paris goes in to San Diego to the VCA for her operation on Wednesday, so have been busy getting things ready around here. We'll pick her up on Thursday. The electricity was out here as usual the first day for over twelve hours, the next day for six hours which pissed my neighbors off.  It was a good thing this happened after the heat wave.   A strong, long lingering and putrid raw sewage smell coming from the barranca knocked us off our toes, just another reminder not to go in the ocean and who cares anymore if your view is blocked - who wants to look at a sewage dump ?  Nothing changes.

Zeta has reported over 160 executions in Tijuana this month of October, I'll be back with those stats and more on the Municipalities in the next couple of days.

 An anonymous person left a message here a few days back which I didn't publish, I deleted it because this person wanted my opinion on if I thought Tijuana is dangerous - plus it was not about the subject matter of that particular blog.  I'm sorry now I deleted the comment.  Yes, I think it is dangerous. And, there simply is no argument against that, it is dangerous end of story. The Guardian has a key question running - "What is it that you regret in life ?"  Our biggest regret is that we ever moved to Mexico.

I need to add that there are seven other households which we know of aside from ours at SADM and this is a mix of Mexican Nationals, Mexican-Americans and Gringos (in the minority);  all of these people - most of them who have lived in SADM going back at least twenty years not only want to leave SADM, but they want to leave Baja California and Mexico due to the insecurity, environmental, political and social issues with insecurity and impunity taking first place. These are North end households, we don't know anyone at the south end.

It's a real heartbreaker.

**********

Update/edit 11/01:

 - First, Paris had her operation today,  (I'll explain everything later it was complicated) she is in the VCA Hospital in San Diego.  Ramps are up, bed off frame and we pick her up tomorrow afternoon. Her front legs are in splints; she goes back every week for the next eight weeks for bandage changes, x-rays and pin removal.  This was like going to the Mayo clinic.

 - Next, I wanted to add the CCSP Report for Tijuana for September 2017 for the "anonymous" poster who wanted to know if TIJ was dangerous.

I just copied & pasted this:

From Zeta:

Homicidios y Robos Incrementan en Septiembre:CCSP
por, Hector Ortiz Ramirez - 10/22/17

"September was the most violent month of 2017, with 212 homicides counted in said period, reported the Citizen's Public Safety Council.

With these homicides, in the first three quarters of the year, there were a thousand 285 incidents, which represents an increase of 102 percent over the same period in 2016, when 635 were recorded.
Also, a kidnapping was filed in September, adding 7 in the year and 22 illegal deprivations of liberty.

In relation to patrimonial crimes, the theft of vehicles and the theft to commerce are the ones that present percentage increases with respect to the previous year, of 63 and 75 percent, respectively.
In September there were 899 thefts of vehicles and 314 robberies to commerce, adding so far in the year 8 thousand 805 and 2 thousand 913, respectively, against 5 thousand 413 and thousand 664 registered between January and September 2016.

Also the theft with violence presents an increase of 8 percent, presenting a thousand 417 incidents, of which 163 correspond to September of 2017.

Finally, the only item analyzed that shows a decrease in the comparison between January-September 2016 and 2017, is that of robbery at home, presenting 2 thousand 795 in 2016 against 2 thousand 007 of 2017 (-28 percent), 215 incidents."

end edit.

UPDATE/news flash! 11/02:

" Your girl is doing well, resting comfortably.  We will update you in the am, you can call at any point.  Dr. Jackson "

BTW, check out Dr. Jackson's credentials on biographies at VCA. He's pretty amazing. Here's the pic:

 - Dr. Jackson sent a picture of Paris with text message which said,

" Your girl is doing well, resting comfortably.  We will update you in the am, you can call at any point.  Dr. Jackson "

BTW, check out Dr. Jackson's credentials on biographies at VCA. He's pretty amazing. Here's the pic:

CJNG Is Taking Control Tijuana - 593 + Executions in TIJ Since The Beggining of the Year - 78,109 Dead During Three Years Of Pena Nieto And Counting

courtesy Zeta

As the U.S. Presidential election circus dominates the news reports in America and the social media, little or nothing is being reported about the raging drug war in Mexico.  This is good news for the promoters,  the majority of gringos remain clueless.  Which begs the question, what types of people utilize the lack of information and education as a control method ? Perhaps this is not such a hot topic anymore, perhaps no one really cares. Afterall, in a few years time, everyone can catch the drama on a Netflex special and not really have to deal with it.

Which leads me back to the U.S. Presidential circus and that is that neither of the major candidates has uttered a word  or even a little tiny peep over the drug war situation, oblivious to it.  Bernie Sanders, even though he turned out to be a complete sell-out did say several times earlier in his campaign that the drug war was a failure.  But now we're not one hundred percent sure that his statements were actually sincere.

Despite the silence from the corporate media and the politicians of the U.S. on the conditions of the drug war in Mexico, there are a bevy of publications that daily report the drug war carnage. In our area, the drug war has never stopped and the violence continues to rage.

Zeta predicted the clash of the titans (Sinaloa vs. CJNG) months ago, and now even the authorities who initially denied the presence of the CJNG in Baja California are admitting what is happening in our region is a repeat of earlier drug war atrocities when El Teo and the Sinaloa Cartel took on the CAF, which left most of us shocked and dazed with the majority of gringos who lived here making a run for the border and exiting, permanently. And finally just a few weeks back after the body count was undeniable, the authorities announced they would be unveiling "a new strategy" against the violence. An announcement was made that the Marinos were being called out to patrol the streets, but we haven't seen them.

Keeping in mind that I will add new numbers of fatalities to these figures almost four days after the following reports: Zeta reports that as of 09/15/16  during the month of September there have been 46 homicides-executions in the city of Tijuana and lists some of these from the previous week.  That number leaves us at 593 people including women and children, burned bodies, mutilated bodies, headless bodies, one body hanging from a bridge with arms and legs cut off which falls on a passing vehicle, people shot and killed in front of their families, bodies in the streets, shootings in daylight, bodies thrown into the highways - 593 people killed in homicides-executions as a result of the unnatural and eidolic drug war since the beginning of this year to September the 15th. This is the number for Tijuana and does not include the Municipalities of Ensenada, Mexicali, Rosarito Beach and Tecate.

Additionally not have only threats been made to the authorities but authorities have been targeted.  On a tip from their law enforcement counterparts in the U.S. it was learned that the forces of the CJNG were planning to target PGJE and Ministerial agents which they have done.  The deep concern of the authorities now is that there is absolutely no doubt that the CJNG dominates at least one third of Tijuana and  there has been a measurable increase of drugs being moved and money being laundered, just like if not surpassing the old days.  The question remains, how much longer will it take them and their allies (CTNG - and offshoot of the CAF - and a reminder that authorities told the public to disregard the narco mantas from the CTNG a few years back, that they were not a viable force) to completely control not only Tijuana, but other areas ? And what will be the price to be paid in violence?

Adela Navarro Bella argues that little to nothing has been forthcoming from the Pena Nieto administration regarding the violence which defines Mexico and there is she states at play an effort to minimize the violence by either not addressing it or to even falsify information, particularly regarding the numbers of the victims where authorities have actually in fact lowered the numbers of homicides due to organized crime by huge amounts.

After an initial report from Zeta then two subsequent reports from the government where figures differed, another investigation was launched by Zeta's Jesse Lara Berudez which showed between December 2012 to July 2016, 78,109 people have been killed as a result of clashes between cartels, mafias and organized crime. In this year alone 12,512 people have been killed nationwide which works out to a monthly average of 1,800, July of 2016 measuring the most violence with 2,073 recorded homicides-executions recorded.

Putting the figures into perspective then the annual average during the Pena Nieto administration is 21,600 people killed.  If this rate continues at its current pace, the projected amount of people killed due to the insecurity will total 129,000 people which at that point will surpass the 120,000 recorded executions during the six year administration of Felipe Calderon Hinojoso.

Potentially then we could be looking at a  figure of 250,000 people in Mexico killed in the drug war since the days of Calderon, and this figure is not including the 26,000 people who are still missing.  250,000 !!!

Ms. Bello ends her report the same as her preface: She states that Pena Nieto is determined to deny or minimize the climate of insecurity while committing mistakes in other areas and attempts unsuccessfully to shake off the stigma of corruption.  The President of the Republic she states, does not take responsibility.  Gosh, that sounds familiar.

I'm going to cut this short because it started to thunder and lighting  and actually rain here which means the electricity might go off, but I'll be updating tomorrow. I saw there was another headless body out in Tecate. Here is the complete report:

Same As It Ever Was...Same As It Ever Was...Same As It Ever Was......

The Anointed One (aka The Ice Queen)- Coming Soon: Similar statues will be available at the border, next to the blankets and Last Supper displays ! Perhaps even with stigmatas !

It seems as though with all of the distress over the U.S. Presidential elections, there has been scant coverage of the drug war in our area and throughout Mexico, at least in English. I am guilty too, but my sweetpeas are coming up !

As a footnote (which is exactly where the promoters would like it to be) towards the very end of July, Zeta reported in Tijuana there have been 479 homicides-executions since the beginning of the year, which is pushing us over the top.  Since that 07/28 report I am counting at least seven more including a partially burned body, assorted attacks and people wounded and an attack on police officers. These numbers are not counting the other Municipalities. Just a few days before that Zeta report, Proceso reported a 19 % increase nationwide in homicides/executions and experts believe these numbers will continue to increase.  Will return to these stats in more detail.

There is going to be a five day cut in the water supply by CESPT while they are repairing water lines. No official date has been given, but it is assumed it will be sometime this month. So I guess all those new houses the developers put in here at SADM without pilas are going to have a rough time. Here is the Sintesis update on the colonias which will be affected.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I complain about the Mexican press not covering in depth the "...extensive coordination and blatant resort to illegal disenfranchise effort of voters" in the Democrat primaries (or rigging) but then when does the corporate media of the U.S. ever really cover in depth the voting irregularities in Mexico ? As far as a truthful investigative report into the DNC's power and control over the corporate media of the United States by the corporate media of the United States and the Clinton influence (it wasn't just Debbie Wasserman Schultz - who directed her what to do, who gave the order...anyway it doesn't matter, Hillary already gave her a new position)   we will never see that one.
Perhaps the best we can hope for is to see if Julian Assange of WikiLeaks really will release more devastating Hillary emails which he believes will be her downfall.  On that note, here are various links to post DNC convention reports which are not making the corporate news headlines:
This is a tough one, I was going to put up the old "Fortune Teller" song, but opted for another, hope it works.  I swear I will be back at some point with the escalating violence of the drug war news, just like everything else - it is the same as it ever was.....
