Wrap-Up Of US Presidential Campaign: Trump's "Immune" Claim - Maybe He Has 'Brain Fog' In Addition to Being Mentally Unstable

Asegura Trump Estar Listo Para Campana Electoral Despues de Coronavirus

By, Angela Torres Lozano

"The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that he is now free of coronavirus and ready to return to the electoral campaign, in search of re-election, after it was reported in early October that he had been infected with COVID-19.

In a message issued from the White House, the US president said that he is now "immune" to the virus, and his doctor, Sean Conley, affirmed that Trump meets the criteria of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC for its acronym in English), to consider that it is no longer possible to transmit the virus.

However, experts doubt that this statement is true, since it has only been 10 days since it was announced that Trump had COVID-19 and there is no way to prove that it is no longer contagious.

In a statement published on the afternoon of October 10, hundreds of people gathered in one of the White House gardens to hear the first words of the president after his confinement.

During his message, Trump took off his mask and assured that he was already "immune", he did not know if for a month, a week or for life, but they did not indicate if he tested negative for the PCR test, and declared that the virus, that it has killed more than 210 thousand Americans, "it is disappearing."

Donald Trump has three rallies scheduled for this week in Florida, Pennsylvania and Iowa, and noted in his speech that they will start big.

Trump Claims He's Free of Virus, Ready for Campaign Trail

By, Jonathan Lemire & Hope Yen

"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Sunday declared he was ready to return to the campaign trail despite unanswered questions about his health on the eve of a Florida rally meant to kick off the stretch run before Election Day.

H is impending return comes after the White House doctor said he was no longer at risk of transmitting the coronavirus but did not say explicitly whether Trump had tested negative for it. The president insisted he was now “immune” from the virus, a claim that was impossible to prove and added to the unknowns about the president’s health.

“I’m immune,” Trump said in an interview on Fox News Channel's “Sunday Morning Futures.” “The president is in very good shape to fight the battles.”

In a memo released Saturday night by the White House, Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley said Trump met the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria for safely discontinuing isolation and that by “currently recognized standards” he was no longer considered a transmission risk. The memo did not declare Trump had tested negative for the virus.

But sensitive lab tests — like the PCR test cited in the doctor’s statements — detect virus in swab samples taken from the nose and throat. Some medical experts had been skeptical that Trump could be declared free of the risk of transmitting the virus so early in the course of his illness. Just 10 days since an initial diagnosis of infection, there was no way to know for certain that someone was no longer contagious, they said.

His return to full-fledged rallies will be in Florida on Monday, a comeback that comes with the president facing stubborn deficits in the polls. The Trump campaign and White House has not indicated that any additional safety measures will be taken to prevent the transmission of the virus among those traveling on Air Force One, at the event site or at rallies scheduled for Pennsylvania and Iowa later in the week.

Campaign officials have signaled that Trump will be traveling nearly every day the rest of the campaign, and sometimes making more than one stop, an aggressive schedule for a 74-year-old who was hospitalized just days ago.

And with the virus again dominating the national discourse, the Trump campaign has released an ad featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci praising the president’s leadership — but the nation’s leading infectious disease expert on Sunday objected to being included.

“The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context,” Fauci said in a statement, adding that he was talking broadly about public health officials’ response to the pandemic. “In my five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed political candidates.”

Tim Murtaugh, Trump campaign communications director, responded by saying that “these are Dr. Fauci’s own words” and said they were praising the administration’s response.

On Sunday, Trump asserted in a tweet that he had “total and complete sign off from White House Doctors” to fully return to the campaign trail, insisting he can no longer spread the disease to others and was impervious to getting sick again.

That’s far from certain, and Twitter later flagged his tweet with a fact-check warning.

While there’s evidence that reinfection in unlikely for at least three months even for those with a mild case of COVID-19, very few diseases leave people completely immune for life. Antibodies are only one piece of the body’s defenses, and they naturally wane over time.

Certainly it’s presumptuous to say it’s a lifetime,” said Dr. Albert Ko, an infectious disease specialist and department chairman at the Yale School of Public Health.

As to whether Trump could still be contagious, Ko said the White House appeared to be following CDC guidelines for when it is appropriate to end isolation after mild to moderate cases of COVID-19.

But Ko cautioned that those who have had severe cases of the diseases should isolate for 20 days. He noted that Trump was treated with the steroid dexamethasone, which is normally reserved for patients with severe COVID.

Dr. Marc Lipsitch, an infectious disease expert at the Harvard School of Public Health, said the doctor’s letter does not provide enough information to be assured that Trump is no longer infectious to others. He noted that Trump’s use of steroids could prolong viral shedding so the CDC’s 10-day standard may or may not apply.

“It is a judgment call,” he said.

The White House memo followed Trump’s first public appearance since returning to the White House after being treated for the coronavirus at a military hospital. Hundreds of people gathered Saturday afternoon on the South Lawn for a Trump address on his support for law enforcement from a White House balcony.

Trump took off a mask moments after he emerged on the balcony to address the crowd on the lawn below, his first step back onto the public stage with just more than three weeks to go until Election Day. He flouted, once more, the safety recommendations of his own government days after acknowledging that he was on the brink of “bad things” from the virus and claiming that his bout with the illness brought him a better understanding of it.

His return was a brief one. With bandages visible on his hands, likely from an intravenous injection, Trump spoke for 18 minutes, far less than his normal hour-plus rallies. He appeared healthy, if perhaps a little hoarse, as he delivered what was, for all intents and purposes, a short version of his campaign speech despite the executive mansion setting.

“I’m feeling great,” Trump told the crowd, before declaring that the pandemic, which has killed more than 210,000 Americans, was “disappearing" despite signs of surging cases in several states.

In either an act of defiance or simply tempting fate, officials organized the event just steps from the Rose Garden, where exactly two weeks ago the president held another large gathering to formally announce his nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. That gathering is now being eyed as a possible COVID-19 superspreader as more than two dozen people in attendance have contracted the virus."

News On The Disappearance of Frank Aguilar, Los Angeles Firefighter

The computer is finally working ! Taking a break from the Trump Insanity for just a moment, an update which you may have already read or heard ; here it is from Zeta:

Fanny Gomez y Santos Gonzalez Detenidos Por Desaparicion de Bombero de Los Angeles

By, Gerardo Andrade - 10/09/20

"On the afternoon of Thursday, October 8, a couple was arrested for allegedly involved in the disappearance of Frank Aguilar, the firefighter from Los Angeles, California, who was deprived of liberty on August 20. The insured were found with the credit card of the missing person, however, the person remains without being located.

At a press conference held on Friday, October 9, Hiram Sánchez Zamora, central prosecutor of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) reported that at around 7:20 pm on Thursday, Fanny “N” and Santos “N” were arrested.

They are Fanny Gabriela Gómez Castellanos, 32 years old, and Santos González Casillas, 27 years old. “He is presumed innocent, as long as his responsibility is not declared by the judicial authority. Art.13, CNPP "

At the conference, Sánchez explained that the FGE agents secured them on the free highway to Playas de Rosarito, after an intense investigation, when reviewing their belongings, they found the bank card of Francisco Michael Aguilar Cornejo, better known as Frank Aguilar. "
The bank card owned by Frank was found among their belongings and they were subsequently questioned about Frank's whereabouts, after which they flatly denied having knowledge of it and denied knowing Frank, "said the Central Prosecutor.

The complaint of the disappearance was presented by Alfredo Rubén Cornejo Trujillo, the victim's uncle, who reported that his nephew arrived from Los Angeles at a house in Playas de Tijuana on August 20. They spoke on the phone and he promised to accompany him the next day, to help him make repairs to his home in San Antonio del Mar. But he never came.

The complainant added that the night before Frank told him that he was going to see a friend in the Misión del Mar subdivision, in Playas de Rosarito and since then his whereabouts have been unknown.

Through the investigations, it was concluded that on the afternoon of August 20, Frank agreed to move from a bar near his home to Misión del Mar, to meet Fanny, who had identified herself as Montserrat.

Investigators located bloodstains on the public highway, near the point where the meeting took place, and expert evidence determined that the blood was from Frank Aguilar.

Neighbors of the town reported that on the night of August 20, detonations of a firearm were heard, for which it is presumed that the victim was injured.

"Fanny summoned Frank to the Misión del Mar neighborhood in Playas de Rosarito, while Santos tried to deprive him of his freedom," said the state official.

Frank Aguilar's house in Tijuana had been ransacked and his vehicle or motorcycle was no longer there.

For this reason, the couple arrested and face the charge of forced disappearance of persons, which has a penalty of 25 to 50 years in prison.

Because Frank Aguilar has not yet been located, authorities will continue to investigate the case until they can locate the Los Angeles firefighter and investigate if there are more people involved.

We continue working on his location, we hope that now that we have the people who participated in the disappearane, they will have more information that will allow us to locate him¨¨, concluded the Central Prosecutor.

Trump Is Getting Increasingly Desperate, Sparking New Fears For His Health

In a day of chaos Thursday, Trump repeatedly shifted his position on a new plan for a virtual second presidential debate and suddenly decided to back negotiations over a coronavirus economic rescue package he had killed off earlier in the week. His actions suggested a campaign in disarray as he trails Democratic nominee Joe Biden by double digits only 26 days from Election Day.

The President's erratic conduct only emphasized an alarming leadership vacuum in a White House hollowed out by sickness as the pandemic takes an ominous turn amid fresh signs that a fragile economic rebound is slowing.

Trump's official physician, Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley, declared that the President would be fit to return to public engagements on Saturday after completing his treatment. But questions remain over when Trump got sick, who he might have infected and if he is still contagious. And twice in an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Thursday night, the President declined to say whether he has tested negative even as he said he might try to hold a rally in Florida as soon as Saturday night.

A day of dizzying events had some of Trump's critics suggesting that his health may be influencing his political choices.

"He is not well. We would not want any other person on the planet to do the things he's doing this soon after knowing they're infected," Rick Bright, the ousted director of the government office involved in developing a coronavirus vaccine, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead."

Bright, the former director of the Biomedical Advanced Research & Development Authority, said that normally, someone who had undergone Covid-19 experimental therapies would be still be in a hospital bed.

"It's very dangerous. He's in charge of a lot of things, makes a lot of important decisions for our country and the world, actually," said Bright, who spoke out publicly after resigning from the National Institutes of Health this week. "If he's not in the right sound mind to make decisions rationally, then he could be very reckless for the country and the world."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, meanwhile, questioned Thursday whether the President is in an "altered state" during an interview with Bloomberg TV, alluding to his sudden decision to halt stimulus negotiations. She noted that doctors have said that the steroid medication Trump was taking can affect a patient's judgment.

"When the President did his strange tweet that said, 'We're walking away from the negotiations,' it was, like, 'What?'" Pelosi said during her weekly news conference. "We've all been working very hard to find our common ground."

She's pushing a new bill, which stands little chance of becoming law, to give Congress a role in determining whether the President must be forced out of office because he's incapable of doing his job.

Debate over debates

Conley's statement on Trump's health was especially convenient since the President spent the day locked in a test of wills with Biden's campaign and the Commission on Presidential Debates over next Thursday's planned second head-to-head clash. The timing will only add to concerns that Conley is being browbeaten by a President who is driven exclusively by his own political fate.

Trump first said he refused to show up to a virtual showdown, which was planned due to fears he was still infectious. Then the Trump camp demanded the last two debates each be delayed a week. Then, following Conley's evening bulletin, Trump's team insisted the debate could take as place as planned next week in Miami despite fears over whether the President is still contagious.

The President's latest gambit reflects the fact that he is now at risk of losing one of the last chances to turn his campaign around -- purely because he ignored social distancing measures and got sick. And he offered Biden, who would be happy to avoid risks in the closing days, an opening to accuse him of backing out.

Trump also made a complete reversal on Thursday after blowing up talks on an economic rescue package with House Democrats earlier in the week in a fresh sign of his increasingly head-spinning behavior since leaving Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Trump touts Covid 'cure'

The President is trying to turn the campaign away from his mismanagement of the pandemic by making exaggerated promises about the coming availability of an antibody treatment made by Regeneron that he is touting as a "cure" -- even though it still lacks Food and Drug Administration approval. And his post-hospital warnings that Americans must not let the disease "dominate" them are complicating public health officials' efforts to promote public safety measures like wearing masks and avoiding crowded areas.

On the same day that federal and state officials announced charges in an alleged domestic terror plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Trump accused the Democrat of "complaining" and again attacked her over her handling of the pandemic, accusing her of having "locked down" her state. Trump has consistently called for states to reopen, disregarding concerning case numbers across the country.

Earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease specialist, warned that the country could see as many as 400,000 deaths from coronavirus by this winter.

"The models tell us that if we do not do the kinds of things that we're talking about in the cold of the fall and the winter, we could have from 300,000 to 400,000 deaths," Fauci said during a discussion with American University students Tuesday. "That would be just so tragic, if that happens."
On Thursday, Fauci tried to clear up Trump's falsehood on social media this week that the flu is more lethal than Covid-19.

"There's absolutely no doubt, no doubt at all, that this Covid-19, with its 210,000 deaths in the United States, one million deaths globally, seven-plus million infections in the United States, is far more serious than a seasonal flu, no doubt about that," Fauci said on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."

White House cover-up over Trump's last negative test

With no medical expertise, the President is insisting he's no longer contagious. The White House is also unconvincingly arguing that privacy concerns prevent them from sharing details of the timing of the President's last negative Covid-19 test.

That information is important to assess whether the President recklessly went on with public events -- including last week's first presidential debate -- while possibly infected. The date of the test could establish whether the White House was telling the truth when it says Trump was regularly tested -- an important consideration as the presidential complex became a raging coronavirus hotspot. Knowing the date of the test is also key to evaluating the President's claims to no longer be contagious as he agitates to get back on to the campaign trail and resume the packed rallies that risk the health of supporters and anyone they may later encounter.

Trump is also firing off irate political attacks as national polls show Biden up by double digits with voting in many states already underway

In recent days, including in a manic Fox Business interview Thursday, Trump has wondered aloud why his foes --namely Hillary Clinton, Biden and former President Barack Obama -- are not in jail.

The President incredibly raised the possibility that the relatives of fallen US service members infected him at the White House, absolving his team of responsibility for their negligent measures to keep staff and visitors safe from the virus. A President who benefited from 24-hour care from top military doctors and experimental treatments not available to other Americans said on Fox Business, "What happens is, you get better ... you know, you don't really need drugs."

Trump on Thursday also used shocking racist, sexist and McCarthyite smears to claim Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris behaved like a "monster" and a communist in her debate with Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday.

Trump's wild behavior is coinciding with signs that the long-feared fall spike in the pandemic is gathering speed.

Coronavirus cases as of are rising in 23 states, based on the average of new cases over the past seven days. The number of new cases hit nearly 50,000 alone on Thursday with another 850 deaths giving the lie to the President's claim that people who fall ill with the pathogen simply get over it.

Yet there is no sign of a coordinated government health offensive to prepare Americans for a grim winter before vaccines become widely available
